Their influence brings her into conflict with her family and community. VERDICT This YA series launch by a popular CF author ("A Promise for Spring") will also appeal to adult readers and brings a new dimension to the ever-popular Amish subgenre, focusing on the more modern Mennonite sect that, while embracing modern comforts, still lives simply.
