Living Every Day with Eternity in Mind
December 24, 2012
In this follow-up to Todd and Sonja Burpo’s wildly successful Heaven Is for Real—about their young son Todd’s trip to Heaven and back—the husband-and-wife team continue to tell their remarkable story. Offering up their own experiences and those shared with them by fans, the authors assert that a belief in Heaven can help people endure the trials, tribulations, and challenges of life. Both Stu Gray and Brook Bryant turn in workmanlike performances as narrators. Gray’s narration is well paced, crisp, and uniformly cheery—perhaps overly cheery at times. Additionally, the enthusiasm with which he reads sometimes feels forced, a quality listeners may find off-putting. Bryant’s performance is more understated. Her voice is breathy and slightly accented, as she ably alters her tone to emphasize key points. Fans of the authors’ first book will find much to like in this audio edition. A Thomas Nelson hardcover.
