Narrator Alexander Cendese has a deep, sexy voice, and the man can act, but even he cannot breathe life into a story that's nearly on life support. Beautiful TV reporter Alix Phillips and hunky ex-SEAL cameraman Ben Chapman travel the world, covering everything from prison riots to political scandal at the highest levels. Cendese's characterizations are recognizable and appropriate, but the story meanders and wastes time on scenes that don't provide a piece to the puzzle. This is not up to Steel's usual standard and, despite Cendese's best efforts, is not an enjoyable listen. A.C.P. © AudioFile 2017, Portland, Maine
